Gaffer Gander Inn

First to pose a question: Why is it that all the pieces you have no intention of even remotely turning out..actually turn out? While the pieces you slave over for days and weeks and hold high hopes for seem to land belly up?!?!

Well this is just a random piece I doodled over the last few days...mostly to relieve boredom. Before anyone says anything, yes there are glaring mistakes and I am fully aware of it. I didnt really use the laws of perspective because again, I didnt think this picture would go anywhere. It started as a very rough pencil sketch and then I scanned it in and decided to clean it up, thinking maybe it could be used as a collab trade with hibbary. From there it kinda turned into an experiment and I decided though there were obvious flaws, I would see where it takes me and what I can learn from it.

I had fun with the shading and highlights and did learn quite a bit I would apply to another piece. Ive never really done buildings so that too was a learning experience and I actually had fun with it!

This may go into scrap and I may or may not redo the sketch and try coloring it as a challenge for myself.
