Artist's Comments

Tomorrow...

Something I see up ahead
Perhaps..
Beyond that hill that obscures..somehow
the light of today.

Something lies in wait, sleeping
half lucid..walking
in a dream.
Perhaps.

Beyond that hill of screaming grasses
Beyond the hands and faces I do not know
just..maybe

Tomorrow she will sit up from slumber
Yawn daintily and
look at me

Perhaps she will smile
and remember me?

She will know
when I see her eyes of blue.
So pure

It is my dream
And yet still I wake

Perhaps..beyond that hill
tomorrow.
I will see...

------

Another concept of Balaa. Here she takes on a more tiger form as opposed to the last piece where she seemed to have more lion like features. Her fur is much thicker here, a winter coat of sorts and the tuft seems to have more substance to it.

The poem inspired the piece, its a very personal piece.

If you hate those signatures that tell you to copy and paste something into your signature, copy and paste this into your-- Oh... Wait.

Wow, this is so amazing! She looks so real! And I love the hair! I can tell you put a lot of hard work and effort into this piece, it almost looks like a photograph! And the poem is just perfect. You are just so talented!!
:iconhowliewolf:
This is yet another masterpiece! I guess you're leaning to more realistic pictures now....must encourage it...anyway, the poem suits it very very very well. keep the good work up! :) By the way, is each individual hair you've drawn one colour or a mix?

Great looking fur, and the focus is really done nicely!

Whoa.. as always, the detail is just incredible and left my jaw dropped to the floor. :jawdrop: :giggle: Very beautiful poem to compliment it too. Wonderful job, Balaa. :D
:iconhalothane:
Oh my... her eyes just drew me right in, especially the light blue around the pupil. Absolutely beautiful work. I really admire the way you draw fur, it looks amazing.

"Okay, first off, I'm not the one who had to look up 'stupid' in the dictionary. Secondly, unlike yours, my dictionary doesn't have pictures."
:iconthenitewolf:
i love the eye. so pretty.
:iconscrii:
Wow... I love the different fur lengths, and the softness in the blending of the fur colour. I also love the blurry yet effective background, and how the rain is simple but also very effective! I'm in awe how you have all the fur direction down, especially near the nose (and the general muzzle/face).

The thing I love about this piece is the startling clarity of the eye and generally Balaa, which contrasts the soft blur of the background, which has detail even in the colours you chose!

If this does come out as a print... It's going straight on my Wishlist (as I'm poor and I can't do anything... But I would buy it!), and hopefully one day I can own it and hang it on my wall, and say 'I had an account on the very same site that this wonderful artist was on too,': that's how much I love your art :)
