I recently returned from Furcon '07 where I found myself a new obsession. I suppose it was bound to happen but I have most definetly fallen for the vibrant energetic critters known as lemurs. Mostly I have been drawing ring tailed lemurs, but really I love them all and there is not nearly enough luvin for the furry critters, so I take it as my personal mission to expose the world to their near blasphemous cuteness.

Yes, doom on you all :D. This is just a quickie sketch in a lucid state of mind. I was still exhausted from the trip and coming down with a cold..so I dont doubt there are mistakes to be had. Also yes I realize the tail cannot naturally curl that way...but it was fun drawing it that way.

tools: mechanical pencil, eraser on bristol paper.

I really liek the detailed fur on this.

Man, I can never get over how AMAZING your details are. You're like, a God or something. You're something to be worshipped. :XD:

This thing is seriously so cute and sweet it's going to give me diabetes. Kudos to you for drawing a seriously under-rated animal. They're one of my favorites, and you don't see nearly enough. Here's hoping you start a revolution.

Haha, honestly, I thought it was going to be a picture of King Julien.

Awe, another person I missed meeting at furcon cuz of money issues..*shakes head half smile* anywho, love the circle. Sort of reminds me of *corny sounding line* Circle of Life, of how everything comes full circle in life. Most 'kings' have to be in touch with that and it seem you conveyed it...ok dork time over...

Have you heard of the book The Katurran Oddyssey? It's by Terryl Witlach, the lead designer for Star Wars creatures, but the main char is a lemur. There are like a hundred drawings throughout the book; it might be a good buy for reference. And a good read.
