This one started out as a sketch after seeing that Tani Da Real was holding an art contest. I suppose in one sense its for the contest but in another its just a gift picture for her. She has been an inspiration for so many artists including myself and seems like a genuinely nice person.
What came to mind after I finished this piece:
"Quiet footfalls spatter the barren white landscape, rarely kissed by the sun's glory. She slumbers too, her golden rays of warmth swattled in the wooly grey cloak of winter. Yet even as the earth sleeps, singing a somber song of promise, hope and subdued rejoicing, the snow lily blooms. Splendid petals of fair beauty unfurl, kissed lightly with spots of ebon color the landscape with beauty and grace unmatched by any other. The lily smiles and wraps herself in winter's white fleece."
Technical details for the picture:
It was supposed to be a full body picture but a friend's () helped me decide that perhaps a portrait is more intimate and somehow tends to grab at the soul more. So I cropped the picture and focused on her face.
Original image size: 4000x2300 pixels
Time taken: 10-15 hours(give or take..I usually dont keep good track of how much time I spend per piece
Prints: 8x10, 10$ US plus shipping, print will NOT be watermarked.
**Full View is a MUST. Respect the detail in the work and the time put into it and full view please**
Very nice. I love the fluency of the fur, but also how you can still tell it's fur with the realistic texture. The eyes are very realistic, but still has the expression that is found in more caricature artwork.. Wonderful job. <3

*HUGS* I am glad it touched you so...though dont be depressed for too long . *floofs*

Absolutely beautiful... The detail of her fur is amazing, and her eyes... stunning... I just love how soft and sensual the piece is and it really brings out her inner beauty.
