'Simbelmynë'
Been trying to convince myself to work more real media again. Before I ever touched digital I worked in acrylic..colored pencil and pastel. But that was looong long ago and I have since gotten very rusty. The problem, for me, with real media is...space. I do not have the space to work real media. My living quarters are fairly cramped and sooo though I have an art desk..it is usually buried under my pile of art/framing supplies. and so usually my bed serves as my impromptu desk...which works..but I tend to get frustrated with the long setup/breakdown times :/...and it also prevents me from working big. I often lose motivation to paint once I start setting up. But I was determined to at least finish one real media piece to showcase at Califur..and so here she is. "Simbelmynë" size: 12x6" medium: acrylic and acrylic ink on hot press watercolor paper. Prints: 8x10 upon request (10$ US +s&h) |
