When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Yet another try at rendering planets and placing them within a realistic though certainly alien landscape. I am happy about the colors and lighting of this piece though not so happy as to how the clouds turned out. This is still very much a new concept to me but the learning process is a blast!
Edit: hmm random thought out of NOWHERE...as usual....should there be an observatory or a building of some sort on one of the hills? Merr...can't think...must go to bed Comments
That's gorgeous. The only things I noticed that didn't look 100% was some of the clouds being a bit... cropped at the edges, rather than soft? That may just be me or my monitor, though. Really beautifully done - I can't believe this is only your second attempt at this kind of scene. It looks awe-inspiring
wow, that's very nice. I think it looks great the way it is, withiout the building or anything man made.. so to speak
-- " Do not let your mind dwell on the adversities that may befall you, for the worst of them is death, and if it be a good death, then the best fate of all is to die." The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes This is a great picture balaa! ^o^
I love the composition of it, and the perspective. The rings of the closest planet're so detailed that it really helps the picture to gain the look of a photo ^^ The hills are very nicely rendered (Terragen?) and adds a nice tough to the landscape. BTW, very nice light effects in the atmosphere ^^ -- To see my most recent artwork, visit ~Feathers-of-Love! Yes, its realy nice. I can't realy think of any supporting critque at first glance, it looks fine the way it is
-- Havoc - The Roaring Tiger Owner of the largest big cat photography gallery on DeviantArt. Ooooooh wow! Great job! Balaa! I agree on the clouds though, they are a bit iffishly flat. I'd suggest to use your cloud magic on your usual program for the more flatter clouds. Edit them with your brush or whatever ya do to make them look so great usually
Didja use Bryce for the land and clouds? ah one more thing to point out, the brighter light dims off any other fainter light This meaning basically the sun you made beyond the smaller planet should be the only light.. no stars for a good distance from each brighter light. So stars should only be around the darker area being the top left corner of the pic and little to none around the sun. Other than that I really looooove the picture! |
