I blame this on Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Just watched the dvd tonight..and this came out afterwards...a random speedpainting.
I always had a love for the Baobaob tree of Madagascar off the coast of Africa. Something about those trees always gave me a sense of the far away, of dreams, of an alien world.
This will probably end up in scraps just because it isn't a super refined piece...but I like it just the same .
Interesting work, I'd like to see it in a bigger size if possible. The coloring is wonderful and creates a dreamy atmosphere. I like the composition a lot too. The piece looks more like a traditional painting. Please don't scrap it!
You seem to love Lemurs & Madagascar like me Balaa! This one of the most awsome pics I've ever seen from you or on the DA & it's something I like. Don't scrap it Balaa. It's to nice to be scrap.
Please don't put it into scraps... It's very pretty...
The perspective is wonderful! The way the clouds are in a kinda.. radial pattern makes it a LOT more believable... And the tree itself looks great! The lighting, the textures... the leaves of the tree look great too, with a faint touch of the sunset/sunrise light on them.
What stood out as well was the sky! The sky... wow! The stars, the faint, light brush of darker colour over them and those little stars between the clouds... and I love how the clouds to the left reflect a touch of blue!!
I should stop writing longer comments, I don't think they do much But I like writing long comments, so... *coughs* Anyway. Yep this piece is a definite fav...
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
