Artist's Comments
Bought a brand new set of paints and had to do a test run. The painting is based on a photo taken by Shasta Cat on Furaffinity. The image: [link] . What can I say, from all he told me about 'his kids', they just grew on me..and I couldnt help myself!
I took liberty with the photo..or rather I was lazy..didn't really lay down much of an undersketch..just..sorta started throwing paint around and hoped..mebbe it would turn out  . I think it was a successful practice session and well enjoyed might I add.Size: 6x9.5" Tools: Golden Acrylics on illustration board Time: ? dunno..was distracted and painted while doing other things. Oh and but of course, this fella's name is Macumba. Don't be fooled by the innocent bystander expression . Comments I love the markings on the back. But the head looks a bit like a lioness's. It doesn't look like a scrap!!!

 This... is practice for you? It looks awesome! The perspective makes it look a little weird, but not sure there's any way around that. Maybe if you'd made his back end a little less defined/blurry as it is in the original pic it might give a better sense of depth. Not sure how well that works with paint though, since I don't use it.
Either way, it's still a damned good job!  Spots are love!
