So is it just me or am I in a snow leopard mode lately XD?
This is a commission for that has been in the works for quite sometime. These are her two characters Angora and Lazarus. Both the male and female have mowhawks of sorts and the reason the female(left) has such a poofy face is because she has a bit of a mane . Actually the first snowy picture ('Promise') started out as a preliminary sketch for this commission. However, she wanted a different pose so this is what I came up with. I do hope you are happy with the final piece !!!! I worked on this for aggggeess.
I am posting the revised version here since photobucket has been less friendly with me. More changes may be made to this piece and so an updated version of this piece may well be uploaded in the future. I am sorry it took quite so long but I wanted to add more detail to the final piece. It seems I can never find a happy medium with detail.
No critique on this piece, comments are welcome, but no critique. If there is something wrong with the piece, I already know what it is. I am not trying to sound egotistical but sometimes all I get is empty critique and it does nothing but depress my work for a few days. Right now I sincerely cannot afford that so thank you in advance folks.
***Please full view. Respect the detail in the piece and the time and effort put into the piece. Thank you!***

Another amazing piece o.o The detail and color are so beautiful, especially the color in the eyes, and I absolutely love the detail in the rock. Bravo!
Beautiful. Of course I was thinking when I first looked that they looked to be half snow leopard half lion, and your description/explanation kind of confimed the look. The point in the prior comment I was making over less sharp edge is beautifully displayed here, though as I noted I could be at fault on that last for not looking closer, and please forgive me for such.
I've seen this kind of picture in many a "professional" place. The background reminds me of some of the old "Yes" album covers, where the landscape flowed and was probably a good pic to get high to (I'm not in that sort of thing but I understand some of the logistic behind it). The characters and their immediate surroundings remind me of several sources... everything from DandD manuals (with some of the fantastic splash pages) and art calendars to video game packaging and many others I've run across over the years in out of the way places.
You're very good at what you're doing, and I can't see how the character's owner can be anything but ecstatic over this picture. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us.

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
