Originally I started this as a speedpainting last night. Started with a solid soft pink background and just started spattering around colors until a mountain range took form and it all went from there.
I realize the composition isn't very dynamic, but then that is one thing I will be trying to better through my speedpaints. I also know this isn't my typical subject but I hope that isn't a bad thing as I have so been enjoying these quick loose paintings. You know how sometimes you feel some part of your heart is locked away from your own eyes and once you discover it, you knew what you were missing all along? I think these series of paintings have given me that soothing sense of realization and elation. Time taken: 4-5 hours size: 2300x1500 at 200dpi prints: ?
